Welcome to the Markgräflerland
... the historical land of the margraves of Baden, which lies between the Black Forest and the upper reaches of the Rhine, near Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany), Basel (Switzerland), and Colmar (France).
Nestled among orchards and vineyards, surrounded by woodland and pine forest, and snuggled at the foot of the Hochblauen – the region’s own peak and an Eldorado for paragliders – is our holiday home Zur alten Dame. It is situated in the village Lipburg, near the thermal spa town of Badenweiler.
The proximity to Switzerland and France gives the region an international, cosmopolitan ambience, with stimulating blends of culture and cuisine on offer. It is a heady, full-flavoured mixture of rural and urban good life from both sides of the Rhine. And what is more, Italy is on the doorstep!
Zur Alten Dame offers an exclusive setting for parties of friends, family gatherings, or small workshops and classes, for up to eight people. In your home-from-home we provide a friendly atmosphere and warm hospitality, the best ingredients for an unforgettable holiday. There is perhaps no more valuable a gift than being able to spend time together in a beautiful setting.
Come to the Markgräflerland, a paradise garden where you can relax and refresh yourself, body and soul.
